How to Get to AMCaT from the Medical Campus (Sacramento)

The Causeway Connection Bus (Route 138)

Hourly express shuttle connecting the Sacramento and Davis campuses

The Causeway Connection is an all-electric express bus service co-managed by SacRT and Yolobus that runs Monday through Friday. It is free for UC Davis and UC Davis Health students, faculty, and staff by showing your official ID badge. Board the bus at the UC Davis Medical Center stop (45th Street and Y Street). Get off at either the Silo Bus Terminal or the Genome Biological Science Facility (GBSF) stop, both of which are a short 3 to 5-minute walk to Kemper Hall. It's a great way to skip the drive, utilize onboard Wi-Fi, and get some work done on the commute!

By Car from the Medical Campus

Take X Street to get onto Business 80/US-50 West, following signs toward San Francisco. Merge onto Interstate 80 West across the Yolo Causeway toward San Francisco. Take the UC Davis exit. Follow the signs to central campus to the roundabout and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti Way to parking lot 47.

The closest visitor parking is Lot 47 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/fm2WxWAcT9HcR5o5A) or the Pavilion Parking Structure.  Both parking locations are within walking distance of Kemper Hall

Getting to UC Davis from the Greater Sacramento Area & Beyond

Several Bay Area stops between San Jose and Davis

The Capitol Corridor Train is a great way to get from the Bay Area to UC Davis.  The Davis train station is 1.2 miles from CNM2, and you can bring a bike or scooter on the train.  The route runs from San Jose up the east bay to Davis and beyond.  The trains have onboard Wi-Fi and there is a cafe car with breakfast, lunch, coffee and snacks.  You can sit down and get your workday started while traveling without having to deal with traffic!

From the San Francisco Bay Area

Take Interstate 80 east toward Sacramento. Exit at UC Davis.  Follow the signs to central campus to the round about and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti way to parking lot 47.

From Sacramento

Take Interstate 80 west toward San Francisco. Exit at UC Davis. Follow the signs to central campus to the round about and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti way to parking lot 47.

From Sacramento International Airport

Take Interstate 5 south toward Sacramento and follow the signs to Interstate 80 west toward San Francisco. Exit at UC Davis. Follow the signs to central campus to the round about and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti way to parking lot 47.

From Woodland

Take Highway 113 south to Interstate 80, then east toward Sacramento. Exit at UC Davis. Follow the signs to central campus to the round about and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti way to parking lot 47.

From Los Angeles

Take Interstate 5 north toward Sacramento and follow the signs to Interstate 80 west toward San Francisco. Exit at UC Davis. Follow the signs to central campus to the round about and take the second exit to the left. Take the left at the second stop sign on La Rue Road. Follow La Rue Road and take a right at Bioletti way to parking lot 47.
